Tv are not working. Bedspace are cramped, pillows are useless. Super noisy aircon... what more can you ask for? You can't sleep in this shitty hotel. Not worth the price even if the breakfast is okay. Not recommended!
We checked in the hotel at night on June 10, 2025. The staff are very accommodating, including (whom I think) is the manager who also happened to welcome us. Great location, easy to get in and out of the city. The staff was wonderful. The Pension House is well maintained. The beds were very comfy, the environment was pleasant and welcoming. Both check-in and check-out were professionally handled and easy. The pension house restaurant offered delicious meals with a diverse menu. Prompt room service and food that surpassed our expectations 💯💯
We hesitated to return here when recommended to do so by a friend (try the steak we were told), as previously the service had been rather ponderous. But we are so pleased we did as the food (steak, pork ribs & Thai vegetables) were some of the tastiest we've had in The Philippines & certainly in Butuan. And the service was much improved too.
