Tried going by here today. Just wanted to look around. Was met with an unwelcoming man at the gate. First rule of hospitality is to make people feel welcomed. Not interrogated, and definitely not turned away. May have booked a stay in the future. Instead I have zero desire to ever return.
As a resort basic should be the pools; none of their pools are working, and the place looks abandoned. We booked a room with a jacuzzi, it worked for only 1 hour and no heater in the jacuzzi. Very disappointed. For reference, we went there on Sep 27 to 28, the weather was very nice in those days.
A bit far from the populated areas and shopping but worth it. Suggest just hiring a driver for the time you stay. I reserved one for a week and was well worth the few hundred dollars to have a driver on call whenever I needed. Service at resort was spectacular. Highly suggest splurge on the hot tub villa.
