The Guest House Laoag

5 stars because the price reflects what you get, unlike most overpriced hotels in the area. We paid 765/night (Dec 2025) for room with double bed, with own bathroom, and aircon. Room and bathroom was clean and had no smells, bathroom had cold shower. Front desk also arranged for airport transfer because we had an early flight the next day. Location accessible by tricycle from city center.

The place is okay. We stayed in a “couple’s” room which was clean, but small. Bathroom was tight, sink had a slow drain so you’d have to turn off the faucet and let it drain every few seconds. There wasn’t much luggage storage space and nowhere to hang wet towels after shower. This is where our travel agency transferred us when things did not work out at Our Vessel. There were so many issues and concern at Our Vessel and the service was just downright horrible. Our agency transferred us here when we complained. Anyway, The Guesthouse is a level up compared to Our Vessel. The building and grounds were nice and clean. A hidden place to stay for tourist and travellers. The roads leading to the property are under construction at the moment we visited. The room we reserved was better than typical, clean and comfy. They also serve breakfast and coffee if requested. Hopefylly next time we book and visit in the future, the place will be comfortably accessible, and some amenities improved. 3 stars.

Decent lodging for one night. Small but aircon works great. It is within a quiet neighborhood. You need to have your own transportation but the sweet lady (the owner) will provide ride to and from the bus station. Bring your own snacks since it has no restaurant but offers only packets of coffee and instant soups. No elevator but not a problem at all, smooth steps with lighted hallways. The Guesthouse at Laoag 
gave a superb customer service. 
The senior citizen was given a room on the ground floor for easy access. We were given the top floor and privacy since we occupied the whole floor.
Guest room was provided with 2 towels, toilet paper. Rooms are clean and they have a clothes rack for wet clothes.
