A family of four, we had a fabulous stay at the secluded Blue Orchid Resort. When we arrived, the owner Michael and the team greeted us warmly. We booked the large room with a pool view, but since it was low season and the resort wasn't busy, Michael moved us to two ocean view rooms so the kids and us each had a room with a shared balcony. Nice place with helpful staff. Nice pool. Nice ping pong table. Great view. Calm relaxing environment with gardens and abundant birds. We really enjoyed our time here. Well worth staying here. We did not take the opportunity to do the scuba diving tours but the people we talked to enjoyed them There is a toll on the only road to get here but hotel will reimburse you the cost.
Loved our stay here, it’s one of the higher end places to stay in the area. Further away from the restaurants and bars but the food at the resort is good. The views are great and serene quiet getaway. The rooms are nice and the bathrooms are too. We stayed somewhere else in moalboal and it doesn’t compare to the quality and cleanliness here. We are staying here right now. Doing an unfavourable review for me is very unusual but there are just too many things. Calling the rooms here “luxury” is a stretch. They are serviceable and quite large but there is no furniture - there is a bed (with a very annoying mosquito net) a bureau, and a small table and 2 chairs and a large wide open space - our bags are on the floor because there is nowhere to unpack them l…
