Reef beach resort has seen better days. Its excellent location and price point was overshadowed by the need for repairs and an upgrade. The Reef Beach Resort are decent, though the villas feel a bit dated. Each villa features a living room, dining area, and kitchen on the ground floor, with the bedroom located upstairs. Place is old and in need of upgrade & renovation. Paid 6K/night for a 1bd apartment style unit by the pool, which is, by any normal standard, too expensive for the value you get, but for Siargao's standard, it is pretty much midrange, sadly... The hotel is excellent and worth the price, but the woman at the reception is one of the nicest women I met on my trip! Always smiling and always wanting to help. I have never seen anything like this in my life. She really deserves to run the hotel. She is simply amazing and makes the whole experience here for us!

They have one of the best pancakes in the island, but it was just disappointing that this is the serving portion of their breakfast tocino for 350 pesos. I asked the staff if they are havinng a shortage but eventually they mentioned the portion was just like that. We also ordered the orange juice but had to ask to return it because it was mostly water as well.
