The property is quite large, stretching from the main road all the way to the beach. It covers approximately 16 hectares, and the inn is located several hundred meters away from the restaurant. Not really a whole lot to do here activity wise besides swim. Wifi was not working properly during my stay. While there are courts for sports (tennis, volleyball, basketball, badminton?) I barely ever saw them used but do bring your own gear/balls if ever. My biggest complaint is food since its quite pricey for the value and the breakfast buffet isnt clear on which days they are happening. Not bad for a night or two
Overall, our stay was a bit disappointing. The place didn’t feel as welcoming as we expected, especially given the standard it seems to be aiming for. We visited this place in the end of Mar.2026 and stayed here for 3 days. This place is quiet, greenery and peaceful. My wife said the first looking is kind of wild. The rooms are maintained but not as clean. We saw a cockroach in the room and the bedside tables are not wiped properly. Shower curtains are dirty. But the beach is kept clean. And service staff are all friendly.
Montemar is a good place We went for a day tour, but there was no available space at the beachfront—it was already reserved. If you allow day tours, it would be better to also provide space for non-members so they can enjoy the beach.
Toilets and shower area really needs some improvement. Beach access timing could be adjusted to maximize the day time till sun down.
