Unassuming rooms in an informal hotel with meeting space, plus breakfast, parking & Wi-Fi.
The Comfort Room has stains under the sink, the shower leaks, the shower curtain is yellow near the floor. TV relatively non-functional as there are no chanels that it can receive. The bed is comfortable. Breakfast at the lobby is quite good. The fried tuna is recommended. The staff are friendly. Just a tip when in GenSan, book taxi early. Taxis are scarce in the city.

When we reported that the Wi-Fi was slow, the response was that “IT is based in Manila and it can’t be fixed tonight.” A better approach would have been acknowledging the concern and assuring guests that the issue would be escalated. Excellent stay every time! We’ve stayed at Microtel Gensan a couple of times for our office events, and it has always been a great experience. The customer service is excellent—the staff are very accommodating and easy to talk to. The food is good as well. The location is very convenient, close to 7-Eleven, fast food restaurants, and just a few minutes’ walk to SM Gensan. Definitely worth it!
There's free breakfast, the room is clean and the parking space is really safe. Though it is a bit expensive but we did not regret it.
The food is so-so, but the room and service is decent enough for the price.
