Meaco Royal Hotel Calbayog

Rooms are quiet empty! no side lampshade, no hangers, No Clothing Cabinets, No bath mat even a trash liner is missing had to improvised, Good thing tv has lots of channel but the sound will be completely drowned by loud humming of the AC. It's not even a full house, lot of empty rooms but beddings are poorly done. Elevator will scare you a bit. Lounge Area & Hallways are a little too claustrophobic.

At 1pm I arrived at hotel,the security guard told me the staff is eating... Agoda booking, they call it express check-in 😅 No towels in the room, the room phone not working, so going out without shower, asking for towels, they said they will put towels. 7.30pm coming back, no towels, so going down again. Front desk staff is very unwelcoming and troubled but the task at hand of checking guests in. The room is in dire need for some upkeep and maintenance. The many mosquitoes seem to like it though. Unless you are a mosquito too, stay elsewhere

Rooms - it's spacious and the beds are comfy. When it comes to the tv, you need to fix the signal and also add more channels. We only had 7 channels in our room. The comfort room on the other hand was appealing and it was clean when we arrived there.
