Our stay at Madayaw in Tagum was exceptionally good. We had originally booked three nights but extended our stay for an additional night for my family of five in two rooms. The hotel’s clean and hospitable staff made the experience particularly pleasant. We were particularly impressed by the chef at Tala Bistro, who went out of his way to prepare specific dishes for us. His Western cuisine was also done well. The on…

I loved the place and the staff were accommodating but their serving time is so painfully slow as we waited for 1hr and 30 mins just to get the meals ordered. The elegant place does not compensate for how late their kitchen serves out food. I think that guests should be able to dine with reasonable waiting time and comfort.
This review is for the restaurant, we didn’t stay in the hotel. Above expectations, I hope they will maintain this level of standard. Starters where brought first and the main courses were all served at the same time and hot, this is not something we see every where in Tagum. My wife had the steak surf turf, we usually never order this as it’s almost a guaranteed disappointment but the meat was actually a filet mign…
Loyal Guest Treated Poorly – Absolutely Unacceptable I have stayed at this hotel every time I visit Davao. This is my 4th stay in the last 4 months. As a regular guest, I expected better treatment. Instead, this was the worst experience so far. The Front Office repeatedly asked me to change rooms. The most shocking part? They wanted me to downgrade to a smaller room for one night during the weekend so they could res…
I had a great night staying at Madayaw Hotel. The staffs were very accommodating, the place is classic and elegant especially the Tala Bistro. The room itself is so cozy and comfortable beds. Will definitely come back soon!
WARNING – Avoid This Hotel Do not book this hotel. The rooms have a terrible sewage-like smell. It is extremely unpleasant and makes staying there very uncomfortable. Basic cleanliness and maintenance standards are clearly not being maintained. On top of that, the hotel keeps asking guests to change rooms repeatedly. Instead of fixing the issue, they keep moving you around, which is frustrating and unprofessional. S…
A very Classy and Elegant hotel right at the heart of Tagum! The lobby is big with high ceilings. Staffs were hospitable and friendly. The room is just ample for 2 persons with some space to walk around. Inside the room there's a built in closet with wardrobe, a big smart TV, an electric kettle and a jug of potable. Hot water shower isn't stable and It is turning on and off. Maybe due to low water pressure. No wifi…
Central location, new building, but service needs to dramatically step up : room service needs dramatic improvement each second day they forget to do the room It’s in general lacking attention to details to make it a memorable experience. Food served is good, first day breakfast buffet very poor, cold , empty at 9.30 am , but then good the other days
