Grand Mercy Hotel

Hotel on neglect and disrepair. Room is very small. There is a construction site facing the sea facing rooms with workers able to look into the room. The hotel's action to preserve privacy is unading a pillowcase over the bathroom window. The key card don't work and staff is frustratingly 'leasure' in fixing this. Avoid.

The staff that checked us in were nice and friendly. The staff when we checked out was nice enough to ask us how our stay was and listened to my concerns. Hopefully they take note of reviews and improve in the future. Our room was clean. Sheets were new, cabinet and tables were clean and dust free. Lobby and hallways were clean as well. I stayed here for one night since I continued my motorbike ride in the morning. It's a nice room but small, even if it's small 2 people can stay anyway. I had nice shower with hot water. Wifi is good and cable tv. I like location since it's close driving anywhere around there.

Worst hotel you could ever stay in Calbayog!! So disgusting!! Clearly, the staff were not trained and the manager is so rude. He even blames the customers. When I complained about my room, he even remarked why only after two hours did I complain. A new hotel in the city. My stay was great. The rooms are clean, bed is comfortable. I also enjoyed the view on the top. There is also a good Japanese restaurant downstairs. The hotel is close to city center. (Very walkable) It is walking distance to Grand Tours (Public transpo for the entire province). Highly recommended! Will return again everytime I'm in town.

The room facing the ocean that my wife slept in had a window in the very small bathroom that was impossible to close and mosquitoes were able to enter at night, annoy us and bite us while we slept. As if that wasn't bad enough, we got bitten several times by bed bugs.
