We stayed at here for 5 days and 4 nights with breakfast, and here’s our honest experience. We booked the Superior Queen Room, and the room was surprisingly spacious for two people. What I loved most was how bright the room was– a must for us since my mom and I get scared easily 😂. The shower room and toilet are separated, which is super convenient, and the bed was so comfy it honestly made us lazy to go on tours. A…

The place was great! It was near the bars, massage spa, restaurants, cafes, island hopping meeting place, convenience store, and pharmacy. Everything I need was walkable. You can make your own coffee every morning for free. The best thing for me as a light sleeper, it was peaceful at night and I was able to sleep soundly. Will go back there for sure. Although, if you’re looking for a place that has appliances for co…

From the outside, Barco El Nido Hotel looks quite nice and promising. Unfortunately, that was pretty much the best part of the experience. For around 2,000 PHP per night, I expected at least a clean and properly maintained room. What I found was far from that. The room felt poorly maintained, the bed did not seem really clean, and there were hairs on the floor from previous guests. In the bathroom, the tiles in the…

Pros: Location was close enough to town to walk to restaurants and tour companies on the main strip, but not right in the middle of all the chaos. Staff was helpful and there 24/7. Bed was comfortable and shower was hot. A/C was cold. You can book tours directly with the hotel. The common space was nice and you have a communal fridge you can use. There are bathrooms with showers where you can wash sand off your feet…

First - don’t dare book transfers in this hotel. I had a 1am flight in puerto princesa. Pick up time was 5pm. Driver came at 6pm. The car was very old and dirty and driver so nasty. We entered the car, waited 20 minutes for some reason (me and 2 other Philippino girls) , then the driver said we will leave at 6:30pm and that’s a “maybe” which was late. I told him I can’t wait, we need to go, as I have a flight and he…

Staff is nice and helpful, at edge of city, but that makes it slightly quieter, across the street is an affordable laundromat. One negative, skip the included breakfast, it's not good for the price and there are plenty of great options nearby. Regardless, I mentioned this and staff was attentive and resolved the matter, which is what's important.
