We found Balai Lawaan by incident only. Michel and I wanted to go to Guimaras directly but because of stomach problem we had to make a stop over in Iloilo. We stayed at Balai Lawaan for 6 nights and had an exceptional experience. It felt like a home away from home. Ms. Anj and her staff and family were incredibly welcoming, and their service is excellent. The room that we stayed in was clean and well-kept. They even allowed us to rent a motorcycle so we can explore Iloilo. We will definitely stay here again when we’re in Iloilo! :)

Had a very pleasant experience at Balai Lawaan. The place is relatively near the city center but away from the noise, which is good if you prefer a peaceful environment. They also offered me breakfast even though I wasn't sure if it was included in the room. I had a small airconditioned room with its own bathroom, good enough for a solo traveler. They provide towels and toilet paper but not other toiletries so make…

The real definition of a home away from home. Located near the bus terminal but not on the highway, which makes the place so peaceful and convenient for those who want to stay in the city but don't want the city noise (IYKWIM). There should be a 6-star rating. My communication with the property owner was smooth. Through the adjustments and changes within my bookings, they were still able to accommodate us.
